Dariusz Stolarczyk graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Wrocław University of Technology, where he majored in industrial power engineering. He also completed an MBA course at the Wrocław University of Economics.
He is constantly expanding his knowledge in the field and developing his managerial skills. He completed a postgraduate course in administration and management at Institute of Administration and Management of the Wrocław University of Technology, a postgraduate course in management at the Wirtschaftsorderungsinstitut der Wirtschaftskammer in Vienna, Austria and an Executive MBA course at the Warsaw School of Administration and Management. He also completed many courses related to electrical energy market, human resources management and project management.
He began his professional career in the early eighties at Huta Szkła Technicznego with its registered office in Jelenia Góra. Then he worked at TELKOM-SIMET, Zakłady Chemiczne JELCHEM SA. From 1985 he was employed at Zakład Energetyczny Jelenia Góra S.A. First he was a facility dispatcher, then member of the management board/ chief technical officer and in 2001 he took over the position of the president of the management board/ chief executive officer at ZEJG SA. From 2004 to 2007 he managed EnergiaPro.
He was appointed to the Management Board of TAURON Polska energia S.A. on March 8, 2008. He is in charge of IT, corporate governance, orders and contracts
