Holder of a PhD in economics at the University of Economics in Katowice.
He began his professional career in 1994 by working at private companies. He has been working in the power industry since 1999 when he became a member of the management board at PEC Tychy. Then he was a director at Fenice company from EdF Group. Before he started to work at Tauron he was the president of the management board at Elektrociepłownia Tychy S.A. He completed postgraduate courses in the fields of energy market, controlling and IT. He is a member of the Advisory Council at the Parliamentary Power Industry Committee and a member of Supervisory Board of TAURON Wytwarzanie S.A.
He was appointed to the Management Board of TAURON Polska Energia S.A. on March 8, 2008. He is in charge of the division dealing with power trade. He is the author of many scientific publications concerning the heat subsector.
