Włodzimierz Luty

Member of the Supervisory Board

Włodzimierz Luty is a Member of the Supervisory Board at TAURON Polska Energia S.A. He was appointed to the Supervisory Board on 31 January 2008.

Włodzimierz Luty graduated from the Faculty of National Economy of the Wrocław University of Economics, where he majored in the administration of data processing, and from the Faculty of Philosophy and History of the University of Wroclaw, where he majored in philosophy.

During his professional career, Włodzimierz Luty was employed at the University of Wrocław as an intern, junior lecturer and associate professor, at the Wrocław University of Technology as assistant professor, at the Foundation of the Wrocław Medical University as vice-president of the management board, at POLAR - a state company in Wrocław as advisor and proxy of the chief controlling officer, at the Province Governor’s Office as an advisor to the Governor of the Dolnośląskie Province and a member of the Wrocław EXPO 2010 Organizing Committee, at the Wrocław Office of the Ministry of State Treasury as a director. At present, he is the vice-president of the management board at the Foundation of the Wrocław Medical University. Włodzimierz Luty also operates a business that is involved in market research, financial consultation and management.

Włodzimierz Luty declared that in reference to the requirements defined in §23 section 3 of the Articles of Association of TAURON Polska Energia S.A., he meets the independence criteria for supervisory board members under Commission Recommendation of 15 February 2005 on the role of non-executive or supervisory directors of listed companies and on the committees of the (supervisory) board (2005/162/WE), including Best Practices for WSE Listed Companies.
