Article 56 section 1 item 2 of the Public Offering Act – current and periodic information

 

The Management Board of TAURON Polska Energia S.A. ("Company") informs that on 12 January 2012 the Company was informed that the State Treasury appointed Mr. Rafał Wardziński to the Supervisory Board. The appointment took place on 11 January 2012 pursuant to §23 section 1 item 3 of the Company’s Articles of Association. Mr. Rafał Wardziński earned Master’s degree from the Section of European Integration, Jean Monnet Chair at the Szczecin University. He also completed a postgraduate course at the Law Faculty at the University of Liege (Belgium) and received a grant from the European Commission. In the years 2003-2004 he was employed in the European Integration Department at the Office of the Marshall of West Pomerania Province. Then, in the years 2004-2007 he was a parliamentary advisor at the Industry, Research and Energy Committee at the European Parliament in Brussels, and in the years 2007-2008 he was the Director of the Regional Office of West Pomerania Province in Brussels. Since 2008 he has been employed at the Ministry of State Treasury, at present he holds the position of the Deputy Director of Key Companies Department. Former Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PERN “Przyjaźń”, Member of the Supervisory Board of “Siarkokpol” S.A. (Sulphur Mines and Processing Plants) and Member of the Supervisory Board of GAZ – SYSTEM S.A. (Gas Transmission Operator). At present, he holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of LOTOS S.A. Group. He speaks fluently English and French. According to submitted declaration Mr. Rafał Wardziński has not been entered in the Register of Insolvent Debtors maintained pursuant to the Act on National Court Register, he does not run any operation competitive to the activities performed at TAURON Polska Energia S.A. Mr. Rafał Wardziński is not a partner in any competitive civil law companies or partnerships, neither is he a member of governing bodies in limited liability companies or a member of governing bodies in any other competitive legal persons.
